Q. Must I register to use WorldwideFreelance.com?

Q. Must I register to use WorldwideFreelance.com?

No. You can still use our web site without logging in. However you may need to log in if you would like to access special content areas that are restricted to registered users.


Q. Is my email address for the site the same as my newsletter subscription to your email newsletter?

The system for managing our newsletter subscribers is through Aweber and is currently not connected with our web site registration system. That means if you want to change your email address for one or the other you must do it seperately.

To change your email address for logging in to our web site, please login and then go to 'My Profile' - 'Edit' - 'Update Your Profile'.

To change your email address for your newsletter subscription go to any of our weekly email newsletters, and look for the link at the bottom of the email next to the words, 'To unsubscribe or change subscriber options visit: [link]'.


Q. Do I log in with my username or email address?

You can log in to the site with EITHER your new username or the email address registered in your account, together with your password.

Q. Can I follow Worldwide Freelance through social networking?

Yes. You can now follow us via:

Q. How do I access the Markets Plus database of more than 2,500 writing markets?

Access to Markets Plus is by paid subscription but it is very reasonably priced. Details are here.


Q. What if I already had a subscription to Markets Plus or a Lifetime Membership at the previous version of WorldwideFreelance.com?

You should log in with the new login details we sent you. You should NOT create a new user account as this will not take into account your existing membership. If you do not have the temporary
login details we sent, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with "Please Resend" as the subject.


Q. I had a subscription to the European Writer markets database. How does this affect me? 

To simplify matters we will now be maintaining one markets database for our Worldwide Freelance and European Writer web sites. If you are a European database subscribers you should also have received login details from us. If you do not have the temporary login details we sent, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with "Please Resend" as the subject.

You now have full access to the entire Markets Plus database (and not just the European listings) for the duration of your membership. To search for European listings only, log in in to Markets Plus, click on Search, then select European markets 'Select Category' drop down menu. Note that this will return slightly more European markets than choosing Europe under region because there are some markets located in other regions that publish European topics and content.


Q. I have forgotten my password to log in to the site.

If you ever forget your new password for accessing the web site and Markets Plus you can click on 'Forgot Login' to reset your password instantly. Now you won't need to wait for us to reply to an email.

Q. I have forgotten my username.

You can either:

1. Log in using your email address and password, or
2. Click on 'Forgot login?' then select 'Lost Username' to have your username emailed to you.


 Q. How can I get my listing into your 'Find a Writer' section?


Our Find a Writer section is where people looking to hire writers can search and find you.

It is now easier than ever to add a listing to our Find a Writer section. It costs $11.95 for 3 months and you will be able to update your listing directly whenever you want.

One writer emailed us to say, "Just wanted to say I am happy I bought the listing in WWF. I have had 3 people contact me so far from that listing in the last month alone. Cool!"

Lifetime members - if you haven't yet submitted your 'Find a Writer' listing (which is included in your lifetime membership) then come on over to the new site, click on 'Find a Writer', then
'Add Entry' and fill in your details... but don't pay when requested to - simply drop me an email and I'll activate your listing manually.
