Background

Worldwide Freelance Writer was established in 1999 to promote international freelance writing markets around the world. There were many other writing sites devoted to North American markets but less information was available for publications in other countries. 

With the emergence of internet technologies it is now possible, and more practical than ever before, for freelancers to write for a publication on the other side of the world.

Requirements 

We welcome writers to submit articles for publication in our newsletter and on our web site. Whether you are an established professional or a writer just starting out, we are willing to hear from you. Please remember if you are starting out we still expect the same high standards of writing from you. 

We prefer completed articles, instead of querying. 

Feature Articles
The preferred length for our feature articles is around 1000 words. We're looking for articles on:
 

• How to successfully write for, and sell to, international markets
• Success stories writing for foreign markets
• The Craft of Writing
   

Reprints are OK.  If your article has appeared elsewhere, please tell me where. 

Book Reviews
We welcome book reviews on writing-related books but we do not pay for these.

Submissions

Please send submissions by email only. Include your article as text within the email, NOT as an attachment. With so many viruses around, we sometimes ignore attachments. 

Please do NOT mail hard copies of your manuscript. They will not be returned.

Rights

If we accept and publish your article we are purchasing the rights to use your article on our web site and in our newsletter as follows:

Website

Non-exclusive rights to publish your article on Worldwide Freelance Writer website (indefinitely), and

Newsletter

One-time non-exclusive worldwide rights to print your article in Worldwide Freelance Writer electronic newsletter and the non-exclusive right to reprint your work in archival versions of our newsletter.

Payment

If we publish your article, you have a choice of:

A. US$20.00 by Pay Pal 
B. US$20.00 Amazon Gift Certificate 
C. Check for HKD$160 (Hong Kong Dollars) (approx US$20)

Fee is per article, paid upon publication.
