The Worldwide Freelance Writer web site was launched in 1999 with the purpose of publishing information about freelance writing markets around the world.

At that time there were several other great writing sites devoted to writing markets in North America... but very little information was available on markets in other countries.

Our market database has grown and grown and today we have more than 2,200 market listings from all over the globe, and especially in North America.

Management

The Worldwide Freelance Writer Web Site and Newsletter are owned by Altavado Limited. The company is headquartered in Hong Kong.

Our Managing Director is Gary McLaren who is also the editor of Worldwide Freelance Writer, and our sister publication, European Writer.
 

Other Activities

Altavado Limited has published several ebooks in the areas of writing, photography, and online marketing.

We have also designed software for writers. Our Quick Query Tracker manuscript tracking software was available for a number of years until recently.
